This website was developed as part of the digitalization project of the ECONOMIST 2000 Foundation, implemented under Financing Contract No. 846.i9/c7.
The project is funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), under the call for projects “Digitalization of the Non-Governmental Organizations Sector”.
This funding supports the development and modernization of the organization’s digital infrastructure, with the aim of improving access to information, communication, and the services provided to the community.

Welcome to the Economist 2000 Foundation website
The Economist 2000 Foundation is an academic foundation based in Iași, mainly associated with the economic academic environment, more specifically with the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEAA) within Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași (UAIC).
In short, it is not a commercial or political foundation, but one focused on economic education, research, and academic support.

ALEXANDRU IOAN CUZA UNIVERSITY
The first modern university in Romania, founded in 1860, during the period of the union of the principalities. It is one of the symbolic institutions of Iași and of Romanian education.
UAIC has a structure dedicated to graduates, called the Alumni Foundation – Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași. Its purpose is to maintain the connection between former students and the university.
When referring to the “UAIC Library”, we are primarily referring to the “Mihai Eminescu” Central University Library. It is one of the most impressive academic spaces in Iași, both in terms of architecture and the volume of its resources.
